• Earlier world peak oil mitigation study has provided guidance & remains essentially unchallenged. Challenges welcome!

• Experience: Peaking could come with little warning & sharp declines.

• The new U.S.-only study provides cost, job & talent estimates.

• Extrapolation to the world indicates

• mitigation will cost ~ $ 1 trillion / year

• over 20 years +.

• Answers to some substantive questions would be very useful.

• The U.S. Energy Secretary has talked of peak oil, & some U.S. government activities are underway. It’s a start.
